Logo is important

The identity of a company and it’s brand is visually expressed through its logo, which, along your company’s name inspires trust, admiration, loyalty, and an implied superiority. So, creating a well crafted logo is an integral part of a company’s brand strategy. A logo may be a simple word in an unique font & colour combination (e.g. Google Logo), an icon (e.g. Apple), or a combination of both. You can create a logo by hand-drawing or using a graphics processor as simple as Microsoft Paint. However to create a high resolution logo as is needed in digital media you need a dedicated Logo Maker software. Features of DesignEvo Logo Maker

DesignEvo is a newly launched online service. Currently you can create a logo without any restriction, watermarks and registration. There is a sign-up button but it is voluntary. Currently it only requests to share about the service in social networks or your website when you attempt to download the created Logo, but that is also discretionary. DesignEvo offers three components to create a Logo: Icon, text & Shape.

First, select the layout and resolution of your desired logo. By default it is Square with 500px resolution, but you can adjust the resolution from 32px to 2000px. You can even enable grid for better placement of the Icons and Text. By default the background is set as transparent, but you can set a solid or gradient colour to it.

Next, search for relevant icons suitable for your Logo by using a few keywords describing it. You can transfer the icon of-your-choice by dragging it to the layout or by simply clicking on it. The icons are all in monochrome, but you can change the colour by selecting it. You can even adjust the opacity, flip it vertically or horizontally and adjust its layer.

Then, you may add your company name or slogan by using the Text tool. Here also you can change the font-style, font-size, colour, format and opacity of the text. You will also be able to add Artistic text.

Finally, align the texts and icons according to your choice and enlarge all to occupy the complete space of the layout. It is noteworthy that you can use keyboard shortcuts like Ctrl + A (select all), Ctrl + Z (undo), Ctrl + Y (redo) etc. while editing. If everything seems ok, preview the final Logo to see what your logo truly looks like in practical application.

Lastly click on download to save your Logo in your computer. You will get the logo in zipped format which will contain PNG and JPG image files, as well as a transparent PNG image file, which enables you to place your logo on any other background.

Conclusion

I had used quite a few online services to create Logo but I found this one most easy to use and clutter-free. I have also created a logo for this blog using DesignEvo Logo Maker. Have a look !!

However, the service is in its infancy and so not without problems. I was able to add Shapes in a Logo, but unlike the icons, the shapes are quite low in resolution and surprisingly the shapes didn’t appear in the final Logo. I have informed the company regarding this issue.
